Usually, lemonades that are on the market are too sweet and one-dimensional. That’s why we came up with the idea to create our own lemonade. We wanted to show what you can do with a coffee plant. Besides the pulp, the leaves of the coffee plant have a lot to offer. Mik experimented.
The result was a lemonade with swag. A lemonade with lemon verbena, because we wanted a fizzy drink with a citrus, floral aroma and lemon juice on top. This way, the natural sweetness of the verbena is complemented by a tart acidity.
The coffee leaf, in addition to the caffeine, gives the lemonade a touch of earthiness and a soft, velvety mouthfeel. It makes the fizzy drink more sophisticated.
This lemonade comes with a touch of demerara sugar. We chose it because of its caramel-like, dark sweetness. Voilá MIKOLAJ: Mikolaj’s constructive refusal to serve one-dimensional lemonades.
