Meet SANTO ANTONIO

At the heart of Ibiraci, within the renowned Alta Mogiana region of Brazil, lies Fazenda Santo Antonio de Pádua. This esteemed farm, part of the Eldorado Group, is owned by Jean Vilhena Faleiros, who, along with his family, represents four generations of coffee expertise.

The Journey to Specialty Coffee

The captivating story of the Faleiros family dates back to 1920 when Jean’s grandfather planted the first coffee crops. Since then, the family has been dedicated to producing high-quality coffee. In 2010, the farm underwent a transformation, shifting its focus to specialty coffee. This commitment to quality has earned them numerous accolades, including winning the Alta Mogiana Competition and high rankings in the Cup of Excellence.

Sustainability and Quality

Fazenda Santo Antonio de Pádua is certified with 4C, Global, and Practices, reflecting its commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. Each batch is meticulously processed and undergoes intermittent resting periods to enhance quality.

The Natural Process

The natural process at Santo Antonio de Pádua involves a careful selection of the finest, mature fruits. After harvesting, the wet mill separates floating, ripe, and green fruits. Larger, more mature fruits are chosen for their sweetness and complexity. These fruits are dried on concrete patios, starting with a thin layer and gradually increasing to ensure slow drying without the risk of fungal growth.

The Taste of SANTO ANTONIO

At an altitude of 1180 meters, Fazenda Santo Antonio de Pádua grows the Yellow Catucai, an Arabica variety. The natural processing method involves carefully selecting and drying the finest, mature fruits. This meticulous method ensures unparalleled sweetness and complexity in every cup. The SCA Cup Score of 85 reflects the outstanding quality of this coffee.
